Klaus Jörres (born 1973, Düren, Germany) lives and works in Berlin. He studied humanities studies at Philosophische Fakultät RWTH Aachen, painting at Academie Beeldende Kunsten Maastricht and fine arts at Universität der Künste Berlin, where he was a master student of Katharina Sieverding. Selected solo exhibitions include Dittrich & Schlechtriem (2022, 2019, 2015, 2014), Art Cologne New Positions (2021), ltdlosangeles (2017), Kwadrat (2011, 2010), Mönchehaus Museum Goslar (2004), Galerie Koch und Kesslau (2002), Platform Vaasa (2001) and Maschenmode (2001). His work has been featured in exhibitions at Schloss Biesdorf (2025), Künstlerhaus Bethanien (2022, 2012, 2003), Tanya Grunert Gallery (2017) Neuer Berliner Kunstverein (2016), Daimler Contemporary (2013), VeneKlasen Werner (2011) Pace (2009) and Kasbah Museum (2007). Jörres received residencies at CCA Andratx (2026) and Schloss Wiepersdorf (2024) and was awarded grants from the Berlin Senate (2015), the Kaiserring Scholarship Goslar (2004) and New Positions Art Cologne (2021). His work is included in the collections of Mercedes-Benz Art Collection and Mönchehaus Museum Goslar.
